A self-order kiosk lets guests order on their own. Kiosks are assigned by your administrator and appear automatically under Sales Points > Self-Order Kiosks.
Steps
- Open Sales Points from the menu and select the Self-Order Kiosks tab.
- Find your kiosk in the list and click Edit (or the Settings / Kiosk Settings button on the card for every option).
- Give the kiosk a Display Name, e.g. "Entrance" or "Counter 1".
- Choose the Order Mode: Takeaway only, Dine in only, Dual (ask guest) or Retail mode. With Dual you can set the Default First Option (which option shows first).
- Set the Inactivity timer (minutes) - the kiosk shows a warning 20 seconds before clearing the cart.
- Turn on Require table number for dine-in if guests should enter a table number, and decide whether Auto-reset clears the kiosk after inactivity.
- Under Available Languages choose Follow Default or a custom selection. Norwegian is always on.
- Optionally turn on Auto-print customer receipt and pick a printer.
- Click Save Changes (Save changes).
Share the kiosk link with Copy link to open the correct kiosk on the device.
| Setting | Used for |
|---|---|
| Order Mode | Takeaway, dine-in or both |
| Inactivity timer | Clears the cart after quiet periods |
| Available Languages | Languages the guest can choose |
Tip: The menu, categories and prices (incl. VAT) are shared across the whole business - the kiosk shows the same product catalog as the till, so you don't need to rebuild the menu per kiosk.
