Reuse one customization on many products (Global vs. Specific)
Understand Global vs. Specific scope and apply one customization group to many products at once.

A customization group (for example "Extra toppings" or "Choose your sauce") can apply to one product or to many at once. The key is the Scope setting when you create the group.
Global vs. Specific
| Scope | What it means |
|---|---|
| Global | The group shows automatically on every product in your menu. Nothing to pick. |
| Specific | The group shows only on the categories and products you choose. |
Steps
- Open Customizations and click Add New Customization.
- Choose a type (Remove, Add or Change With) in the top toolbar.
- Choose the scope next to it: Global for the whole menu, or Specific for selected products.
- Fill in the Title (the name customers see) and an optional Description (internal note).
- If you chose Specific: go to Apply to. Click the Categories card (Edit ›) to pick one or more categories, and/or the Products card to pick individual products. A product inside a chosen category inherits the group automatically.
- Add the options under Items with + Add Items.
- Click Create Customization.
Tip: Pick a whole category instead of many individual products — any new product you add to that category gets the group automatically.
Good to know: Global groups appear read-only on each product under the "Inherited" heading, so you can always see what applies.
