Remove or change an item before payment

Fix mistakes in the cart – remove an item, change the quantity or clear the whole sale – before you take payment.

Before payment, the cart is completely free to edit. Here is how to fix a mis-rung item.

Steps

  1. Select the line: Tap the item in the cart you want to change.
  2. Change quantity: Use plus/minus or type a new amount.
  3. Remove the item: Tap Remove (or the delete icon) to take it out.
  4. Clear everything: If you need to start over, tap Clear or Cancel sale.

Good to know: These edits only apply before payment. If the sale is already paid, you can't remove a line – use a refund instead. See "Refund or return on the POS".

Tip: Depending on staff permissions, a manager PIN may be required to remove items or clear a sale. That prevents mistakes and misuse.
