Hiding a product or category from sale

Sometimes you need to pull an item or whole category from sale for a while, for example a seasonal dish that's out of season, without removing it for good. You control this through the schedule's Status.

Steps

1. Open the page. Go to Products → Schedules to reach Visibility Schedules.
2. Open the schedule. Click the edit (pencil) button on the schedule covering the item, or click Create Schedule to make a new one.
3. Choose the items. Under Visibility Targets, use Search Categories or Search Products to add what you want to control.
4. Turn it off. Set the Status to Inactive to pause the schedule, so its products are no longer shown during the scheduled times.
5. Save. Click Update Schedule or Create Schedule.

To bring the items back, set the Status to Active again.

Tip: On the schedule list, the eye icon and the coloured status badge show at a glance whether a schedule is currently showing or hiding its items.

Good to know: Removing a schedule uses the bin button, which archives it rather than deleting it permanently, so your setup is never lost by accident.
