Editing and deleting products

Prices change and products come and go. Here is how to update details, change status, or delete a product in your catalogue.

Edit a product

1. Go to Products → Products.
2. Find the product using the search box, Category, or the Status filter. You can choose All statuses, Active, or Inactive.
3. Click the product row to open it.
4. Make your changes on the Generally tab under Product Information.
5. Use Active product to make the item sellable or pause it. Inactive products stay visible in the product list, but cannot be sold in POS, kiosk, SmartPOS, or web ordering.
6. Click Update Product. If the You have unsaved changes bar appears at the bottom, click Save or Cancel.

Tip: You can also change status directly from the product list using the switch in the Status column.

Delete a product

1. Open the product as above.
2. Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Product.
3. In the confirmation box, click Delete.

Good to know: Deleting cannot be undone, but past sales still appear in your sales reports. If you only want to stop sales for a while, use Active product or Out of Stock instead of deleting.
