Creating a customization group (toppings, sizes, add-ons)

Customization groups let customers tailor a product — add extra toppings, swap a sauce, or remove an ingredient. You build them under Products → Customizations.

Steps

1. Go to Products → Customizations (page title Customization Groups).
2. Click Add New Customization.
3. Choose a Type at the top:
   • Remove — let customers leave out a default ingredient (e.g. "no onions").
   • Add — offer extra items at an additional cost (e.g. toppings, sides).
   • Change With — let customers swap one option for another and pick exactly one (e.g. choose a sauce).
4. Pick a Scope: Global (applies to every product) or Specific (only the products or categories you choose under Apply to).
5. Enter a Title that customers will see, such as "Extra toppings". Add an optional Description for your own reference.
6. Click + Add Items to choose the options for this group.
7. Click Create Customization to save.

Tip: Keep the Title short and clear — it is shown to customers at the point of sale.

Good to know: The Description is an internal note only. It is never shown to customers.
