Adding a staff user and setting their POS PIN

Create a staff member, choose their role, and give them a PIN so they can sign in on the POS.

The Users page lets you add and manage the staff who use your POS. Open it from Users in the left menu. At the top you'll see counts for Total Users, Active, Admins and Cashiers.

Steps

  1. Open Users: In the left menu, go to Users.
  2. Start a new user: Click Add User to open the Create New User form.
  3. Fill in the basics: Under Basic Information, enter First Name and Last Name (these auto-fill the Display Name), plus optional Email and Phone.
  4. Set role and PIN: Under Security & Access, choose a Role (Admin or Cashier), then enter a PIN Code (4-6 digits) the staff member will use to sign in on the POS. You can also set a Password and an optional Access Card Number.
  5. Add optional details: Fill in Address, Employee Information, Compensation & Banking or a Profile Image if you wish. Keep User is active ticked.
  6. Save: Click Create User. The new staff member appears in the All Users table.

Good to know: A staff member can sign in on the POS with their PIN Code, or with an Access Card Number if you've added one. Deleting a user from the table deactivates them so they can no longer log in.

Tip: Give each person a unique PIN. The PIN is hidden as you type, so double-check it before saving.
