Adding a new product

Add a product whenever you have something new to sell. You only need a few details to get started, and you can choose whether the product should be active straight away.

Steps

1. Go to Products → Products.
2. Click Add Product.
3. Under Product Name, type what the product is called.
4. Choose a Category so the product is grouped correctly on your till.
5. Enter Price incl. VAT and choose VAT Code, for example MVA25.
6. Add Photo (Optional) and a Description if you want to show more information.
7. Check Active product. Leave it on if the item should be sellable in POS, kiosk, SmartPOS, and web ordering. Turn it off if the product should only be ready in Product List for now.
8. Want to track inventory? Tick Stock Tracking and enter Stock Quantity.
9. Click Create Product to save.

Tip: Use Item No and Barcode so staff can scan or search for the product quickly later.

Good to know: If your business uses service or takeaway, you may see Food Service and separate dine-in and takeaway prices. After saving, the new product appears in the product list with Active or Inactive status.
