Adding allergens to a food product
Mark allergens on a food product in the checkbox grid - requires the food/allergen module.

For food items, you can mark which allergens they contain so the information is available to guests. This is done in the Food Allergens section on the product.
Steps
- Open the food item under Products, or create a new one with Add Product.
- Turn on Food Service if the item is food - this also sets VAT automatically (dine-in 25%, takeaway 15%).
- Scroll to the Food Allergens section. It appears as a grid of checkboxes.
- Tick each allergen the item contains.
- Make sure you include every relevant allergen, including those present in small amounts.
- Click Save.
Good to know: The Food Allergens section only appears if your business has the food/allergen module enabled. If you don't see it, your administrator must turn it on first. Keep allergen information up to date when recipes or suppliers change - correct labelling matters for guests with allergies.
