Tracking stock for a product

If you want to keep track of how many you have left of an item, turn on stock tracking for the product. Then you can enter the quantity on hand.

Steps

1. Open the product under Products, or create a new one with Add Product.
2. Find the Stock Tracking toggle and switch it on.
3. A Stock Quantity field appears. Enter how many you currently have.
4. If you need to mark an item as sold out, turn on Out of Stock. A Back in Stock field then appears where you can note when it is expected back.
5. Click Save.
6. Adjust Stock Quantity whenever you receive new stock or do a count.

Good to know: Stock tracking works best for items with limited quantity, e.g. bottles or packaged products. For items you always have (like brewed coffee) you can leave Stock Tracking off. You can find a product's history under the Activity tab in the edit view.
