Search for or scan a product on the POS

If you have many products, hunting for the button isn't always fastest. You can search or scan instead.

Search for an item

1. Tap the search field at the top of the POS.
2. Type part of the name, an item number or a barcode.
3. Tap the match to add the item to the cart.

Scan a barcode

1. Point the barcode scanner at the item's barcode.
2. The item is added to the cart automatically. Scan again for more units.

Good to know: Search and scanning only find items that exist in the menu. If a barcode is missing, add it to the product in the back office. See "Adding a new product".

Tip: For items without a fixed price (weight or special offer), use Open price. See "Use Open price for manual or weighed items".
