The SmartPOS tab in Sales Points gives you a quick health check for your SmartPOS devices. It is useful when a terminal seems slow, loses connection, or does not print.
Steps
- Go to Sales Points and open the SmartPOS tab.
- Find the device in the card list. Each card shows the name and mode, such as Full POS, Bank terminal, or Manual terminal.
- Check the Fresh status or Stale status badge. Stale status means the status may be old.
- Check Device ID if you need to match it to a physical device.
- Read Terminal state when the device is used as a terminal.
- Check Battery before service, especially if the level is low.
- Check Printer. Ready means the printer is ready, while Not ready should be investigated.
- Review Last heartbeat, Last status, Last seen, and Registered to understand when the device was last active.
- Use Capabilities to see which functions the device reports that it supports.
Tip: For payment issues, check both Terminal state and Fresh status before restarting the device.
