The SmartPOS tab in Sales Points gives you a quick health check for your SmartPOS devices. It is useful when a terminal seems slow, loses connection, or does not print.

Steps

  1. Go to Sales Points and open the SmartPOS tab.
  2. Find the device in the card list. Each card shows the name and mode, such as Full POS, Bank terminal, or Manual terminal.
  3. Check the Fresh status or Stale status badge. Stale status means the status may be old.
  4. Check Device ID if you need to match it to a physical device.
  5. Read Terminal state when the device is used as a terminal.
  6. Check Battery before service, especially if the level is low.
  7. Check Printer. Ready means the printer is ready, while Not ready should be investigated.
  8. Review Last heartbeat, Last status, Last seen, and Registered to understand when the device was last active.
  9. Use Capabilities to see which functions the device reports that it supports.

Tip: For payment issues, check both Terminal state and Fresh status before restarting the device.
