Duplicating a product to save time

If you have many similar items - same category, VAT and setup - you can duplicate an existing one instead of filling everything in again.

Steps

1. Open a product similar to the one you want to create, under Products.
2. Click Duplicate. A copy is created with the same settings.
3. Change the Product Name to the new item.
4. Adjust what's different, e.g. Price incl. VAT, Barcode or the photo.
5. Check that the Category and MVA/VAT Code are still correct.
6. Click Save.

Tip: Duplicate a "template" item when adding a whole series, e.g. several soda flavours or different sizes of the same dish. If you're adding several brand-new items one after another, Save and New is often faster - it saves and opens a blank form right away. Remember to check price and VAT on each copy before you save.
