Build a reusable Extras or Toppings group and apply it everywhere

Want to offer extra toppings, sides or add-ons for a fee? Build one Add group and reuse it on every relevant product.

Steps

1. Open Customizations and click Add New Customization.
2. Choose the Add type in the toolbar (lets customers add extras at a price).
3. Enter a Title, e.g. "Extra toppings", and an optional Description.
4. Set the Selection Limit — how many items the customer can pick in total. 0 = unlimited; set 3, for example, to allow up to three toppings.
5. Click + Add Items and choose a PRODUCT or CONSTITUENT for each option.
6. For each item set the Extra Price and Max Quantity. Use the drag handle to reorder them.
7. Choose the scope: set Global to show the group across the whole menu, or Specific and add categories/products under Apply to.
8. Click Create Customization.

Apply the group to several products

With Specific, open Apply to and click the Categories or Products card (Edit ›) to add as many as you like. You can also open a product, go to its Customizations section and click Add to link the group to that product directly.

Tip: Attach the group to a category — every current and future product in it gets the group with no extra work.

Good to know: The Extra Price is added to the product's base price in the order.
