Adding a service with a duration and price

Services are for offerings you sell by time rather than by stock, such as a haircut, massage or repair. Each one has a duration and price so it can be sold or booked.

Steps

1. Open the page. Go to Products → Services and click Add Service.
2. Name it. Fill in the Name field, for example Haircut.
3. Choose a category. Pick a Service Category to group the offering. You manage these under Products → Service categories.
4. Set the price. Choose the VAT Rate, then enter the Price (incl. VAT). The matching Price (excl. VAT) is worked out for you.
5. Add the duration. Enter Time Usage (minutes), for example 45, so bookings reserve the right amount of time.
6. Add extras (optional). Set a Commission, upload a Service Image, and tick Available in online booking if customers should be able to book it themselves.
7. Save. Click Create Service.

Tip: Use the Employees tab to choose which team members can provide the service.

Good to know: Services don't track stock, since they're time-based. The duration is used for scheduling appointments in the booking calendar.
