Importing your menu from a CSV file

Bring in many products or constituents at once from a spreadsheet, with a preview before anything is saved.

If you have your menu in a spreadsheet, you can import many products or constituents at once instead of adding them one by one. The wizard previews everything before saving.

Steps

  1. Open the page. Go to Products → Menu Import.
  2. Pick what to import. Choose the Products or Constituents tab.
  3. Upload the file. Drag your .csv file onto the Upload CSV box, or click to browse.
  4. Set batch options. On the Import Settings step, choose Food Mode, VAT Code and VAT Category (these apply to every row), then click Next: Map Columns.
  5. Match the columns. On the Column Mapping step, match each spreadsheet column to a field such as Name, Price or Category, then click Next: Preview.
  6. Review. On the Import Preview, check the rows and any warnings, then click Confirm Import to see a dry-run summary and Start Import.

Tip: Expand CSV Field Reference at the top to see which columns are required, name and category are the essentials.

Good to know: The page also has a Nuke Menu option that permanently deletes your whole menu. It asks you to type confirm first, so use it only when you really mean to start over.
